Historical Statue Walk around Whitehall and Horse Guards Parade

11 October @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Charles Bryant, the KSA’s Hon. Historian, will again this year be leading a tour around statues, buildings, and other iconic items of interest in the area of Whitehall, Parliament Square, the Embankment and Horse Guards Parade. The walk will start at 2pm on Sunday, 11th October 2026 at the Statue of Lord Kitchener on Horse Guards Parade and last about two hours. It will be comfortable easy walking with plenty of stops for viewing and hearing stories and historical commentary. We will take in the imprint of Lord Kitchener on the area and a number of  key personalities and places of importance to his life and times. This event is free for members of the KSA and guests. The walk will end with refreshments, courtesy of the KSA, in a local establishment, probably the Tattershall Castle, a pub/restaurant housed on a retired steamer moored on the Embankment. Feel free to register interest now with the secretary, Neal Clifton, now by dropping him a mail at secretary@kitchenerscholars.org
